You are going to be receiving, in the mail, the Council Camping and Outdoor Program book, which will provide information about each camp. From Boxwell Reservation to Latimer Reservation, and Grimes Canoe Base to Camp Parish, MTC has something awesome for you and your Scouts to do!!! Our web page mtcbsa.org also has the information you need, or you can contact Jason Flannery at jflannery@mtcbsa.org to learn more. We want to see your Scouts at camp this year! | | 2019 KLONDIKE DERBY AT LATIMER | January 18-20, 2019 Break out the cold weather gear and get your sleds ready…it’s time for the annual Klondike Derby at Latimer Reservation! Middle Tennessee Council has provided a fantastic way to help fund most of your Scout camping needs, in that you can help pay for those events by selling CAMP CARDS! There are five regional cards available this year, so everyone across the Council can benefit from one of these cards. The sale will officially begin on February 25, 2019 but you can register your unit for the sale now by clicking HERE. Also feel free to contact our Camp Card Advisor, Vance Lackey, at vlackey@mtcbsa.org or 615-383-9724. | | Walton Trail Merit Badge University | Saturday, January 26, 2019 Cookeville, TN The annual Walton Trail Merit Badge University at Tennessee Tech in Cookeville, TN is close at hand, so if you want to participate, you should register now for this fun event. This year we will mark February 2nd as “bag out” day, when we deliver door hangers, reminders, and bags to local neighborhoods. Then on February 9th, Scouts will return to those homes and collect their donations and report to donation centers in their districts. As Scouts, we should all be involved in helping those less fortunate, and this is truly a great way to accomplish that goal. Please click here for more information and to register to participate in this year’s Scouting For Food program. | | 2019 BOXWELL STAFF INTERVIEWS | With the cold weather outside, it may be difficult to think about summer camps… but we are already making plans to have a fantastic summer of 2019, and we want you to help us make that happen!
